For many years, North Shore Scaffolding had the enjoyable task of getting Auckland’s iconic Santa set up for the Christmas season. In the beginning, Santa was attached to the Farmers building in Hobson Street. He then moved to Manakau before taking a rest until he was revitalised by a group of enthusiasts.
Santa took his new stage on the Queen Streets Whitcoulls building at the corner of Queen and Victoria Streets. The building changed to Farmers in a poetic symmetry of history. 2019 would be his final year and this iconic Auckland symbol of Christmas has now gone to his final rest. North Shore Scaffolding is proud to have worked on this project for many years and Santa will surely be missed.
