Tawera Group’s conversion of the former Baycorp offices into 91 Auckland apartments was a standout — every unit sold six months before completion. We provided the scaffolding for a project that grew a nine-storey building to twelve, with new balconies pushing out the exterior face at every level.

This was an extensive renovation: a complete strip-out, structural strengthening and full reclad, plus three new floors and balconies at every level. Summit Construction, the lead contractor, chose us for the scaffolding on a building whose form was constantly changing as it rose.

The Layher Allround system was the right tool for it — cost-effective, quick to erect, and able to adapt as balconies and new floors changed the exterior face. As Managing Director Clifton Webb put it: a nine-storey building extending to twelve, with balconies pushing the faces out at every level, was exactly the sort of challenge we enjoy.
